About VuePod

VuePod is a living window into the tiny worlds we build behind glass — reef tanks, planted aquascapes, betta setups, bearded dragon and gecko terrariums, turtle tanks, and frog vivariums.

Why we exist

Every keeper knows the feeling. You spend months building a world a few gallons wide — scaping the rock, cycling the water, dialing in the light — and then the best moments happen when you’re not in the room. The betta finally flares. The eggs hatch at 3 a.m. The gecko starts her shed. You missed it, again.

We looked for a camera made for this and couldn’t find one. Security cameras are built to watch doors, not living worlds — they glare against the glass, they bury the magic behind subscription paywalls, and not one of them understands that what’s on the other side of that glass is something you care about. So we built VuePod: a camera designed for one job — seeing your tank the way you do, up close through the glass, and never charging you rent to keep your own memories.

What we believe

• Tiny worlds deserve serious technology. The aquarium on your desk is as alive as anything a wildlife camera ever pointed at. It deserves better than a repurposed baby monitor.
• Your moments belong to you. VuePod records to a microSD card in your hands — no forced subscription, no cloud ransom, ever.
• Watching is caring. A camera isn’t only for show-and-tell. It’s how you keep watch over a sick fish, a gravid reptile, or eggs about to hatch — the moments when being able to look really matters.
• The community comes first. The aquascaping and herpetology communities taught us everything. Our Tank Wall exists to celebrate their worlds, not our marketing.

Where we’re going

We’re a small team at the very beginning of something we think is big. Millions of households keep fish, reptiles, and amphibians, and almost none of them can see their animals the way they deserve to be seen. VuePod the camera is our first step. What we’re really building is the way keepers watch, understand, and share the living worlds they create — and we intend to be the company that gets that right.
